Inwall/ Induct toilet suites use a cistern that is concealed inside the wall cavity, hob or in the ceiling (induct) to create a very modern, sleek minimalist look to your bathroom.
They use a wall faced toilet pan which can either sit directly on the floor, or to be wall hung. Wall hung pans are suspended by a metal frame concealed in the wall.
An inwall/ induct suite is the ideal solution for a small bathroom where space is a premium. As for larger bathrooms, the use of an inwall/ induct suite will certainly emphasize the rooms dimensions.
Induct toilet suites have the cistern mounted in the ceiling, the flushing mechanism is operated remotely. They are generally used in double brick walls
TRAP TYPES
- Inwall / Induct suites are available for S trap or P trap installation for floor mounted pans, and P trap only for wall hung pans.
- S Trap suites have the waste pipe go through the floor.
- P Trap suites have the waste pipe so through the wall.
SET OUT MEASUREMENTS
- Set out measurements refer to the distance from the wall/floor to the centre of the waste pipe going through the floor/wall.
- The set out measurement is going to be one of the most important pieces of information needed when selecting a toilet suite.
- The set out will vary depending on the particular suite. Make sure you check with your plumber what set out you have before choosing a toilet suite.
WATER INLET POSITION
- The water is connected directly to the cistern either concealed in the wall cavity or ceiling.
WELS REQUIREMENTS
- It is now a requirement that all toilet suites comply with the WELS water rating regulation. This requires new homes to install a 4 star / 4.5lt full flush toilet suite, however 3 star/ 6lt suites can be installed in renovations
